From ‘Brownfield’ to ‘Greenfield’ - Visualizing the World’s Largest Urban Solar Power Plant. Today, Exelon and SunPower announced plans to develop a 10 megawatt solar power plant in the south side of Chicago- the largest of its kind in an urban setting. Considering this monumental announcement, on Earth Day nonetheless, we decided to create a real-virtual view of the array using Google Earth, SketchUp and some other tools at our disposal.

As the GeoWeb evolves, vertical marketing becomes more relevant in presenting 3D, Web and Google Earth capabilities. This week, we illustrate the Long Beach Convention Center in 3D along with its surrounding attractions. One nice thing about this content, unlike 99% of Google Earth content, is that it presents the property inside and out.
