From ‘Brownfield’ to ‘Greenfield’ - Visualizing the World’s Largest Urban Solar Power Plant. Today, Exelon and SunPower announced plans to develop a 10 megawatt solar power plant in the south side of Chicago- the largest of its kind in an urban setting. During a week in March volunteers in Fargo and Moorhead had produced an amazing 3.5 million sandbags to hold back the record flood levels. That is quite the feat and the numbers don’t need visuals to make an impact. However, since I live, eat, and breathe SketchUp I could not help exploring these numbers in my favorite visualization application.
