Since the introduction of the iPhone and subsequently the iPad clients and others have wanted to know when their buildings would appear on a mobile device. With the introduction of Android 3.0, the guessing game has come to a close and Google will be the first to support Google Earth models on a mobile device.
The market implications are somewhat unknown, but we do know that clients can now use their content for an array of mobile uses from virtual tours to site planning.
We’ll be digging in further next week to get a better grasp on API support, maps integration and flexibility.
In the meantime, Android 3.0 is a good indicator for the Google Earth/3D space.
