The concept3D Brownbag Training Series was launched today at Communication Arts Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. Over the course of the lunch hour, concept3D trainers and designers shared some of their best Google SketchUp and Google Earth tips.

Zack Mertz | concept3D VP of Design
Zack Mertz, concept3D VP of Design, offered a glimpse into best modeling practices for Google Earth. Zack has personally built or managed thousands of the most efficiently detailed models found on Google Earth.

Lars Zimmerman | concept3D Senior Designer
Senior Designer and resident rendering guru Lars Zimmerman showed how to create a photorealistic representation from a simple SketchUp model using the V-Ray rendering plugin.

The demonstrations were followed by 10 minutes of question and answers. It was a lot of information in a short amount of time, but thankfully the Communication Arts Inc. staff were extremely well versed in all things SketchUp. Oliver, Zack, and Lars had to dig deep into their bag of skills to make a positive impression. As always, they had a great time sharing what they know.
